i resently got a cut-out before the cat and even though the sound was awesome it ate up SO MUCH gas! it was crazy! i spent $20 on gas and only got 100 miles out of it. And before anyone asks me...no i didnt have a lead foot after i got it. Plus i couldnt hear the turbo or bov. I capped it becuase of the gas and i missed the sound of my turbo. did this happen to anyone else?

This doesn't make sense.

Don't know if you saw this one on the website or not yet, but this guy put it on his turbo civic almost at the o/2 housing.

I know all of you guy's have seen the video's with cheese frog's turboed b18b racing that viper that was all over the web a couple of month's ago.

cheese frog uses an electric cut-out as well. When i get my new downpipe next week i will take pictures of it installed.

This pic is on a turbo civic as well

And for all that live in a state where the cut-out is illegal, just pack your shit and move to the land of no emission's...................FLORIDA LOL

Hehee....and New Mexico too!!!!!!

so an electric cut out with a 2.5 inch DP would have the same performance gains as a full exhaust....and also having the convenience of switching back and forth when u dun need it to be that loud...:D
if so...this would be awesome and also save me some money to do other tings instead of spending it on an exhaust system...if someone can verify that please and thanks

i had seen a manual one as oppose to the electric ones on www.jcwhitney.com how are those? or electric should be better...
the manual one was for 40 while the electric is 200

i have a manual and its ok. I have to jack up the car everytime i want to put on or take off the cap. Its all in what you want. If you want that instant open exhaust then electric is for you. However, if you dont mind taking it off before you go to the track or at the track then get a manual. AVOID THE PLUG STRINGS! after a while they will mess up and when you try to close it, it will never get a good seal.

i tink ill stick to an electric one...too much hassle to jack the car all the time...

there quicktimeperformance.com
dmhperformance.com

which do you guys recommend or are they both equally good
maybe theres other companies that also make it that im not aware of if someone can hit me up that would be cool...im really intereseted...
also if someone can please answer my question from before ...does this have same gains as a full exhaust...DP+electric cut out??!! thanks guys

With just a downpipe and a cut-out, you will see more whp than a full exhaust (with the cut-out open).

Maybe we should see if people are interested in getting a group buy. I found some for pretty cheap searching google.

Sure do, and i'll post a vid and a pic of mine next week.

I'm a pure sleeper due to the fact that i have the agp 50 trim, with the stock exhaust on the back, stock wheel's, and about to anodize my fmic
black.

I've fooled so many people because the average tuner who know's anything about anything will say..........damn that guy has a front mount with a stock exhaust. Damn he must be stupid.

That's what i want people to think, and being in the military iv'e found that there are a lot of what i call import wanksta's that can be hustled real easy.

Now when i paint or anodize my fmic black, my car will literally look
stock on the outside.

Go to dmhperformance.com and ask the guy if he will do a group buy with yall. The guy who makes em is real cool, shit he was even stationed where i'm at right now in germany year's back. I'm sure if you guy's can get a bunch of people to buy them at once, you will get a group discount.

cool let us know when u post the vids up i really wana hear what it sounds like... hoppefully nice and not tooo tooo loud....
group buy sounds good...id be intersted :)

i was thinking about getting one after i seen it on trucks...

the only thing i dont like is it dont block off the other exhaust so some exhaust still will flow through the cat/muffler (which when i wana run race fuel) i can say bybye to my new expensive high flow cat i had to buy cause of dumb cops in this town care more about stickers and mufflers on cars then crackheads and bank robbers..

but id probably get one if they had it where it actually closed the other exhaust and opened the cutout..

My new downpipe shouls be here next week, and i will be sure to post a vid.

I got this cocky fast n furious inspired kid with a n/a supra that just put a t-51 single upgrade on his shit with the supporting mod's. When he installed the kit the first time he had like 20 people working on his car, so they could put in a head gasket to lower the compression a bit. He drove the car for one day and played with the s-afc, but didn't know what the #### he was doing. He got pulled over for shooting 2 foot lonf flames and shit. later the car shut off from what i hear because the idiot's that helped him change the head gasket forgot to to torque down the head bolts. The bolt's ended up just being hand tightened. What a wack job. Any way, i'm gonna race him for a GRAND So i can use that money to buy the magnus manifold, and some hks cams.

The kid doesn't realize how we talon's get down in the 1320. Even when he get's the car running i won't #### with him on the highway, but i'll wax dat ass from a dig. The talon run's low 12's consistantley with my current set-up, so i'm pretty confident i can wax him especially with him spinning at the line all day.

You usually install the cut-out as close to the 0/2 housing as you can. Even with it mountes before the flex section, 90% of your exhaust will flow out the cut-out.

im gonna laugh if somebody that knows what they are doing tunes it for him and he smokes you(and learns how to drive if he dont).. then what are you going to sell for a grand ?? :p

That won't happen for the simple reason that if i slap some race gas in the tank, i'll be hitting high 11's which is more than enough. Second he has nobody to tune it for him since most of the people in germany don't deal with japanese shit. By the time he start's to catch up, i'll be done and cruising home to order my new shit.

Point blank, he won't #### with me in the 1320. He's on a high compression n/a motor with no kind of tuning experience. If we were in the states where he had resources, i wonldn't dare unless i was consistanly in the low 11's - mid 10's.

any comments about making one out of a throttle body?
