i just got a 6- bolt swap and a 190 lph fuel pump and 16g installed in my gsx, other mods are greddy bov, greddy intercoolerpiping and injen intake. When i climb to high rpms with the pedal halfway down it will not cut out but the minute i punch the pedal to the floor when it reachs 5-6k it will just cut out bad like something just stopped working, and it kinda jerks ya forward a bit to, is this cuz of my stock injectors? what else could be the problem?

do you have a datalogger? look at your timing, your probly knocking and the ECU is pulling time. Try turning your boost down, or uping your base fuel pressure.

Can't see your duty cycle on 2g's so your running a 16g without bigger injectors you are maxing them out. Plus your hit soaking the side mount IC.

my car is doing the same thing. i have a AFC and all i did was give it more fuel at the higher rpm's it still cuts off just not as bad. i have 550cc injectors i am going to get a bigger fuel pump and hopfully that solves the problem. right now i turned my data logger off so that my car is only runing stock boost. my MAF is really messed up too though so that might have something to do with it.

my car is doing it too, i still can't figure it out. normal driving it's o.k, when i punch it in 2nd or 3rd gear as soon as i hit 17psi, it happens. :talon:

what do you have your high throttle settings as, getting fuel cut could be either running to lean or rich, running rich will hit fuel cut faster than running lean.

i do not have a datalogger and im only running the stock boost so it cant be boost, maybe i need those injectors but also the heat soak can happen even when ur running stock boost?

Your problem, from what I can tell, is that you don't really understand exactly what fuel cut is. Bigger injectors won't help. A bigger intercooler won't help. Only some kind of fuel management solution, such as a S-AFC, will help eliminate fuel cut. Fuel cut happens when the ECU sees what it thinks is an abnormally high airflow report from the MAF (which is happening because you installed a larger turbo) and it thinks that something is wrong and it cuts fuel momentarily to try and help things get back under control. A S-AFC fools the ECU into seeing a lower amount of airflow. This is what allows you to run larger injectors. Conversely, DSMLink just eliminates fuel cut from the ECU software entirely, which is a better solution, IMO.

it has to be the MAF in my situation then because the owner before me took out the honeycomb stuff and adjusted that squrew on bottom actually they took the screw out and put it in backwards :barf: i dont understand why. thanx though hopefully that helps wgere can i buy a stock MAF all i can find are aftermarket like 3" ones and i dont want to do that

Im having the same exact problem im running a big 16g with a 190 and stock injectors and when im daily driving im fine till i get full throttle. im also running stock injectors. i have the gm mass set up and im getting a mass air sensor reading. could my gm mass air sensor be bad causing me to fuel cut?

thanks david

well from what im learning here is that yea it could be your running to lean, in my case im running to rich, so i probably gonna need a s-afc or something to straighten all my fuel out
