So you know, most people think that fuel cut is caused by not having enough fuel, which the ECU senses thus cutting the fuel off. In actuality, it's caused by the Mass Air Sensor reading too much incoming air from either higher boost levels, a colder intake charge (for example when it's cold out) or from the increased airflow from an upgraded turbo. The ECU has no idea that you have enough fuel since all it's seeing in this case is too much air.

There are a couple of ways around fuel cut:

1. Use an EPROM ECU with a chip that specifically eliminates it.
2. Use an AFC and larger injectors. In the process of leaning the car out, the AFC will lie to the ECU about incoming airflow (ECU sees less air) and fuel cut will be delayed.
3. Use DSM Link and an EPROM ECU.

Using larger fuel pumps, injectors and adjustable fuel pressure regulators won't fix it since it's an airflow issue. I went with option 1, but many people elect to use a combination of 1 and 2 while allowing the EPROM ECU to control the larger injectors (and eliminate fuel cut). The AFC is then used for smaller corrections to lean or richen the car based on the tune.

The best tuning option, however, is the combination of EPROM ECU and DSM Link for the next best thing to a standalone management system.

Let me know if that makes sense.
