I was looking at Evo tuning.. I was bored... and I stumbled across something that they use a lot as a logger. It is called EvoScan. I went on the web site: http://www.limitless.co.nz/#SupportedVehicles, and it actually says it works with our cars too and any mitsubishi up from 94 using the "MUT/MUT-II/MUT-III protocol" for the logging... This logger logs everything including knock sum.. would it be possible that because this logger uses the Mitsubishi protocol and not the generic obd protocol that it can log things that the other generic obd2 loggers can't?

Everything sounds pretty cool. The question still remains for us Eprom guys.
Does anyone have direct experience with EvoScan working on 95-96 ECU's. If it works with 1g's/OBD1 then it should work on 95-96?
If not, it should be up for the 2.2 release.
I might go ahead and put up a new post specifically for 95-96/ Eprom guys.

Good luck. it doesnt seem like many have evoscan. :thumb:

I think you can flash a 98-99 ecu, but there is no way to edit it. I pulled the image from my 98 ecu with ecuflash, but I couldn't do anything with it. Another guy said he could pull the image and right it back to the ecu, but it was unaltered. The program didn't have definitions for the file. I have asked about this over at the OpenECU.org forum, but have had no luck. It looks like all we need is some definitions. Then we could change the fuel maps and more.

So does this work on a 97gst. I have no logger or tuner yet, and i was wanting to know before i spend money on the more expensive stuff, is this sufficient enough as a logger. If not, whats a good logger i could get for my laptop (besides dsmlink). Thanks.

If yall don't mind waiting I can do it tomorrow sometime in the morning. Im just so tired from all of the Easter festivities. And just to make sure I'm clear, your talking about using ECUFlash to get the image, right?

:dsm:

upload it on megaupload.com, rapidshare.com or yousendit.com and post the link

so heres the deal with the 95 EPROM ecu. you can use evoscan for datalogging but thats it. you have to buy theire highspeed subaru/mitsubishi cable for $79 and the software is $20. so for $100 you get a nice logging program that you can run with your laptop. this is great for me.
