2G Evo X Recirc BOV in GST?

Okay....so let's get technical here.

In an attempt to get rid of that s**tbox HKS SSQV that came with the car attached with the stock air box (yes, it was stupid. Not sure why PO did it), I traded BOV's with a friend who has a 2010 Ralliart. The ralliart recirc worked like a charm, giving me better throttle response and spooling a lot better than the HKS, until I accidentally snapped the feed line to the intake off, so now it's time to look for a new BOV. I need recirc, no atmopsheric. I did get a CAI, but I decided to reinstall my stock air box due to not having a GM MAF or a translator, which I believe is diminishing my performance.

So, back to my original question. Evo X's have a metal recirc from what I understand, which is essentially the same as the Ralliart BOV I was running, except the Ralliart was plastic. So from what I've read no one has done this though, Ralliart nor Evo X BOV swap. Is it safe? I mean, I have turned up zero articles about it, and it seemed to work great for me.

Looks identical to the Evo 9 MR BOV that 2G guys have used before. They work great.

An open element filter does not need a MAF-T to be effective. You have another issue going on if it is causing your car to run poorly.

The Evo 9 MR bypass valve is a true bolt-on style bypass valve for a 2g that can perform rather well for a stock unit. I prefer them on the 2g as opposed to the 1g style.

WTF was wrong with the HKS SSQV....?

I've heard negative things about running an HKS SSQV on these cars. Anything that isn't recirc is bad from what I've been able to tell, unless you have it set up correctly.

You just buy the recirculation tube end piece that you install into the HKS SSQV. The HKS SSQV (pull type BOV) is a fantastic bov that holds tons of boost...if the HKS couldn't hold lets say 40+ PSI reliably...then just go Tial, but something tells me that you won't be needing that at the moment
