There is a ton of conflicting information here. Do evo 8 wheels hit the front fenders of a 1g or not?

I just bought a set. Stock size 235/40 tires and my car is on unknown lowering springs. They sure look like they will hit, unless the angle of the struts is enough to pull the front wheels in and make them miss.

I just spent $5k having my car painted, I don't want to mess it up by letting tires hit the front fenders.

If I need to pull my fenders and/or increase static camber, I'd like to do it before I have damage. Does anyone have a definite answer?
