Evo Oil Filter Interchangeability

I was reading over on the evoM forums about the different types of oil filters being used and which has the best performace, and I am wondering if the Purolator PL14459 fit the early 4G63's on the DSM platforms as it would on the newer 4G63's? I'm thinking they would, but I would like confirmation before I go buying a handful of them.

All evo filters in theory will work on the DSM OFH, they just shorter and wider

I'm running a 1g oil filter currently. It's fat enough that it sits flush against the housing. 1990 model year to be specific
