EVO III GT Turbo

Hello everyone, this is my first post and this site is great, lots of information. Well my question is the turbo on the car is a EVO III GT I have no idea if this would be stock or a liitle more than stock, any help please....

Its a 1990 Eagle Talon AWD TSI

Evo III 16G's did not come stock on any DSM, only the Lancer Evolution III. Your turbo is also not a Genuine Mitsubishi turbo, it's a knockoff copy made in Taiwan and distributed in the U.S. by GT Concepts.

WOW... Thanks for the info. Looks like I am going to find another turbo. Any Suggestions on a good turbo? I see a ton on ebay but don't know.. Just want a good turbo for around 325rwhp using stock components if possible.

Just run what you have now- it's more reliable than the Chinese shit sold on eBay. In fact, it's about the best thing you'll find unless you're willing to shell out about $1000.

Ok thanks for all of your help. I will see what I can do with what I have. I am going to update the exhaust manifold to a FP DSM Race Manifold, and 2 1/2 inch exhaust.

you will end up finding the same knockoff on eBay, go to Forcedperformance for some nice turbos. BTW what to you mean by rwhp?

GT turbos are chinabay junk. Just buy a legit mitsubishi turbo

Justin forgot to mention tho.. That for being a knockoff turbo..Whoever made the gt turbo did test the shit out of it..

Still a knock off..But you really dont see knockoffs being tested like that.

GT turbos are chinabay junk.

Not "eBay" Chinese- they're similar to the parts sold by Kamak/Kinugawa. Much higher quality than your average eBay trash, but not quite up to MHI standards.

And he does already own the turbo like Justin said, if it goes buy an MHI Turbo but for now "if it aint broke dont fix it".
