So I put in the Evo9 fuel pump today(no rewire yet) and now my afr's are ~13 at cruising speed and 10 or so at wot, whereas they used to be ~14.4 at cruise and ~11 at wot. I still have the stock t25 and boost is set at 16psi, stock injectors. the ONLY thing i changed is the fuel pump. and it wants to stumble when I push in the clutch, just about dies. any ideas/sugestions? thanks

Your 15yr old fuel pressure regulator (fpr) is probably being overrun by the bigger fuel pump because it flows 220lph, where as the stocker 2g is a 110lph fuel pump. There are a few things you can do to fix your rich condition your experiencing now...

1. Put back in the stock 2g pump and keep the Evo IX pump in storage until you get an afpr.

2. Get a NEW fpr, preferably a 1g since they aren't as prone to overrun, and see if your symptoms disappear.

3. Install a afpr and gauge to monitor and control your fuel pressure.

if you have some cash laying around... try upgrading the fuel pressure regulator... it can't hurt

1g auto fpr is 42.7, close but not 3 bar. just get an afpr and you will be happy with it. oem fprs tend to overrun by big pump and don't last long when that happens.

OK, afpr in, set to 43psi(vac line off) and I'm still getting 11.7-12.0 at cruising and 10.8-11 at wot(which isnt bad considering I just put on the 20g franky) my cruising afr's should be at 14-ish, shouldnt they?
Thanks guys

Cruise and idle AFR's should be between 14.5 ~ 15.1:1 so your running really rich still. If you know your fuel pressure is good you need to pull your injectors and make sure they are stock.

the evo 8 flows around 190lph the 9 actually flows closer to 205lph. there was a thread with flow charts for both around here somewhere but i haven't been able to find it

Hmmm, thats news to me. I though they were both under 200lph, and the only real difference was the lack of a pressure relief valve on the 9.

This is what you need to do next...

Done, stock, as they have been since before I had the car. the only change was the fuel pump, before the fuel pump it was dead on. I am planning on dropping in my 850cc Injectors soon, but I would like to have a solid baseline to adjust my comp. in ECMlink V3lite from. I just dont understand what changed and why, the AFPR should have compensated for any overrun I was getting from the stock fpr, could it be a volume problem? not letting enough get back to the tank, like too small of a return line? I cant imagine the Evo pump putting out that much more. Even at idle it reads 12-13 on the WB.

not sure if I got it but here you go:

At about 34 seconds in Im at about 60mph just cruising.
at about 65 seconds I did a 6000rpm pull in 3rd gear.

Your front o2 sensors bad end of story. I wish you would have posted up a log in your first thread and not a month and some change later. Remember dsmlink isn't just a tool thats used to tune your car to run bigger injectors and advance timing, its also a HUGE troubleshooting tool to look at whats going on inside that motor and those sensors.

Yea, didnt think it would be something that I just changed 3 months ago, I had another guy tell me it was the o2 as well, i have since switched to the wideband and simulation and the afr's are better but now it reads 16.xx and up at cruise still in the 10's for wot but has idled at 18 after runnin down the road to get another log;
the run before this one it was running rich after the run, down to 12.5 at idle! weird, something's goofy
