Ok so im researching and ive found both older and newer post on the subject....

What evo cams will fit in 95gsx.... evo 4-8 cams?

Also cant really find much info on DKS2 Cams.. any input on there cams, extreme psi's says that 2nd gens will have to do some slight modding?

Thanks guys :hellyeah:

evo 4-8 cams wont work. the motor is turned 180

if any thing i would look at 94 galant gs cams 260/264

dks2

whe3ls, please dont post information not knowing the truth about the subject. the engine is turned 180* yes, but the motor still spins the same direction when running. evo VIII cams will work in a DSM, trust me i got them to work after a few tries. i did a pretty big write-up on the subject, just never finished it. to the OP, the cams are not worth all the hasle to get the minimal gains you will with them. spend the extra $$ and get yourself a set of 264's if you're looking for a mild cam.

I have the cams this guy didn't use. After machining the intake cam to accept the CAS and redrilling the stock cam gears for the dowel pins. they were installed in a 1G engine. The car was finally fired for the first time yesterday and works perfect. I only did it because it was a budget build, not really worth the hassle personally. Buy a set of FP's and be done with it.

well is seems that evo cams are not worth it by the way everyone talking i was figuring they would be a easy swap.... I sent you pm!

Like these guys said..Evo 1-3 cams are a direct bolt on(in)...The evo 1-2 cams are the same part number as 1g cams...

The EVO 4-8-9-10 cams are backwards..And the boost piping is on the right side of engine, not the left side...This is why they won't work..But Evo 8 springs retainers, and valves are a direct bolt on(in)..If your looking at adding any of those..

you might want to re-read my post boss. and the one below it.

I have looked and i couldnt find any feedback stating that evo 8-9 cams would work i actually found exactly what you said that the motor spins a different way...

I'm have a set of dks2 272s, There one of the best investments iv made.. Especially for the price..

The only mods you will have to do to run them in a 2g is for the 97-99 I believe, you have to drill and tap the intake cam for the cas bolt. I have a 6bolt so I don't have that problem.
