Had a friend bring a question up to me, and it was: "will evoVIII brakes and MR bilstein suspension fit your DSM?" i have evo enkei wheels so obviously the calipers and rotor diameter will clear my wheels, but do the axle hub diameter of the rotors fit? If it would just be caliper brackets that wouldn't be problem, does anyone know the center hub dimensions of either of the cars? Also any insight on the suspension swap?
Thanks a lot. :talon:

The hub diameter is the same. I have not seen the mounting positions of Evo calipers so I cannot say if they could be adapted. Even if they could, this would be an expensive set up and bolt on upgrades are available for that kind of money.

Perhaps, but an MR owner upgrading might sell the setup off cheap.

I have a set of rotors and supsension I could get for fairly cheap. Also I could Fabricate the caliper brackets easily at my dad's shop.

Then go for it, take lots of pictures, and write a tech article for DSMTuners :) You may want to check your brake cylinders and be sure they can handle the bigger calipers and the amount of fluid you will have to push through them.

As for the suspension, I don't think it's gonna work. The sizes are different. Have you measured them?

The key will be whether or not the mounting ears of the caliper are far enough away from the ears of the hub to allow the extension with a bracket or you will need to radically change the mounting position.

People use EVo stuff on Galant VR4s, So it will work on a DSM. The trick is that they weld the cirle busching froma stock lower strut onto the evos strut..

I think I'll put the suspension aside, but I'll give the brakes a shot.
