Hi there well to start off i know this topic has probably been mentioned before but i simply cant find what i am exactly looking for.So sorry for those who have answered this question already not trying to be a pain ;).

im wondering if a evo 9 i believe turbo its a TD05HR 16G6 10.5T.can i put the hot side of a super 16G i have bolted it on the hot side already.But im wondering if it will run fine when in the hot side just perfectly fine with no problems.

^ LOL no its not. They do have a revised/slightly larger compressor housing.

Nozzle Area (cm2) = 9.8
TD05HR turbine = USDM EVO 8 & JDM GSR =Inconel (steel alloy),
TD05HRA turbine = RS Titanium alloy.
Compressor 16G6 = Aluminium
Inducer = 48.3mm
Exducer = 68mm
Turbine housing = twin flapper USDM

Evolution 8MR aka "8.5"
p/n = 49378-1560 (TD05HR-16G6-10.5T)
GSR = TD05HR-16G6-10.5T or TD05HRA-16G6-10.5T (Ti Alloy option)
RS = 6MT:TD05HRA-16G6-10.5T or 5MT:TD05HRA-16G6-9.8T
Nozzle Area (cm2) = 10.5 or 9.8 (RS-5speed)
Compressor 16G6 = Aluminium
Inducer = 48.3mm
Exducer = 68mm
Turbine housing = single flapper

p/n = 49378-01571 (RS)

that turbo seems not to hold what my setup is meant to be 440 to the wheels. i have the a after market manifold and direct bolt to my 2g for the evo but my 02 housing is hitting my alternator. which is getting me pist because i have no other then to fabricate my manifold and price isn't pretty. :banghead:
 
As much as I would love to see a DSM housing on a Evo 8/9 turbo I think it ruins it as you lose the twin scroll and bigger housing but a T3/T4 housing would be something different and work out well if you could find 1 to fit

Im running a Evo 8MR turbo and to be honest it was a pain in the ass fabbing a manifold up and then redoing my downpipe plus all the lines for the turbo. If I didnt wanna be different I would have just stuck with a DSM style turbo.

For your goals I say a 50 trim of some sort or Hx35 would be nice
 
yeah saying reverse rotation for a turbo is the same as when people say reverse rotation for a High Pinion front axle.. the axles still spin forward. the driveshaft still spins the same way just gears cut different.. on a turbo there is an inlet and an outlet.. that is it... but we know what u mean :)
