Evo 8 Engine into 2G?

Just wondering if this is possible or is anyone has done it, I searched but didnt really find any solid stuff. Like I am talking the engine or engine and tranny. And then will the evo 8 ecu work with the 2g dashboard and whatever else? Thanks.

The engine could technically be turned around, yes, but pointless really. Nothing special about them. And yes, the evo 8 ecu is being used quite regularly now in 2gs

Well, anything that you have to make new mounts and what not is difficult but you can always give it a try. Just know its going to be costly but to each his own.

on a 4g63 car no, this is fairly easy if you do it to a GS chassis.

Ahh, yeah just did a little more research and saw that its pointless because a built 6 bolt is just as good.

But why can you only do that on a n/t? Why not the 4g63?

Motor is 180 degrees different, to me is worth it if you start with a GS, why? Because the motor would be on the passenger side which is way more balanced than the DSM 4g63s and its also unique, would i would go the star mile and AWD swap too, Keep in mind i'm talking about cornering here.

I highly doubt it. Personally, if i was considering a candidate for an e8 engine, id do a 3g eclipse. While its an abomination,

Yes it is very close, it would need some modifications done to the mounts but, if you own a welder its easy task, nothing to be scared of, but if your budget is limited i don't recommend this.
