I was looking around for the size comparisons for the evo 8 & 1g squirters. Didn't find anything. Here's what I came up with. Don't quote me on these measurements I did the best I could with the calipers I have.

As you can see the Evo 8 squirters are longer in height but shorter in length from base to tip of the squirter tube.

The Evo squirters are a bit thicker, so I'd recommend reusing the 6bolt banjo bolt due to the evo's banjo bolt being a bit longer.

I have no idea if it is correct, but from RTM's site:

NOTE: Even though any of the three squirter styles (1g 6 bolt, 1g 7 bolt, EVO) can be used in a 1g block, all the components are NOT interchangeable. For example, DSM squirter bodies should be matched to DSM banjo check valves and EVO squirter bodies should be matched to EVO banjo check valves. DSM and EVO components should NOT be interchanged. This is due to the slight differences in squirter body thickness between the two styles.

Take measurements of the actual tubes ID. If they are virtually identical, there is no point in going out of your way to get evo squirters, but then again even if it was a little bigger or smaller it wouldnt effect pressures/flow with that short of a run. The jets arent important, its the banjo bolt that does the real work since that's what regulates the opening pressure.

Bend the stockers if you have a clearance issue, otherwise, I wouldnt bother.

I might not have read enough but what were your reasons for wanting to use a Evo oil squirter? Stroker or a clearance issue?

I see, you think 1.12mm less with effect something? Basically 1 whole thread is the difference.

Unfortunately with out looking at them in person, I wouldn't be able tell any specifics. I wouldn't think from looking at them in pics it would make a difference, but I've never held them in my hands and done a really detailed analysis. That rtm comment just stuck in my head from reading it in the past. Might want to email rtm about it, they might be able to give you more specifics.

I used evo 8 oil squirters in my aluminum rod motor. The stock one would work. But I wasnt comfortable with the amount of bending it required to make them work. Although the evo 8 still required some bending. It wasn't nearly as much as the stock squirters.

i have run evo squirters in dsm 7 bolt blocks. i havet tried using the dsm longer banjo bolts with washers. But with the shorter evo banjo and no washers the body of evo squirters hits the block and will crack the squirter. the body of squirter must be ground a little for properr clearance.

Hmm, didn't know that ^
So how do you feel about bolting the squirters up without crush washers?
Machine shop will be assembling everything for me after this Christmas holiday so im thinking what I should do, they have the squirters, just waiting on my go ahead.
& that's why I chose to go Evo8 Jets, just for my machinist to do minimal bending possible.

using washer or not using washers is determined by the bolt used. but if you use washer underneath 8 nozzle it may come too close to crank. not sure. I just always use the 8 bolts because they are newer. but you have to clearance the nozzle. I have snapped a couple when you forget to do so.

Do you have to use evo 8 squirters on a stroker build? Reason I ask is because I'm currently building a 2.3 stroker with oem 4g64 crank, eagle h beams and cp stroker pistons. Or am I safe to just utilize the stockers?

Good stuff. I've got a set of Evo oil squirters sitting on the shelf for my 2.4, I'll have to drill the block out but I wish I would've just put them in when it was machined. Didn't really need them for the drag build back then, but for regular street duty and some road course stuff this year, they'll be an asset.

Could the oem squirters just be bent and pushed out of the way enough to work? Or should I just stop being cheap and buy evo 8 squirters?
