evo 8 cams in a 6bolt head?

Was wondering if evo 8 cams will work in a 1g. thank you

They will fit and work but the amount of modification it requires is not worth it. If your wanting to do them because your on a budget look into stm regrinds they run like 250.00.

Yes they will fit however the dowel pin is in a different location and the cam sensor is on the exhaust cam....there is no benefit for doing this however since they are 248* and hollow

So another good follow up to this would be can you put the head from an evo 8 on a 1g block?

I'm sure you could.. But whats the point? If you really wanna swap to a better designed head, use a 2G head and port match it to your intake and exhaust manifolds.

From what it looks like the reason the 2g head is better is because of the flow of the intake yes? So shouldnt the same technology be in the evo 8 head? Just wondering.

No you cant use an evo head on a DSM, even if you could get it on the cams are backwards and the gears are on the wrong side. If it was possible then it would be easier and better to just swap out for an evo motor, but thats not doable either.
