So I've been dealing with a idle issue with my 4g and evo ecu. So I've been looking for an Evo 8/9 compressor to install. It looks 99% the same from a dsm one and it would be more efficient.

Does anyone have any side by side pics of an Evo 8/9 compressor with a dsm one?

Has anyone actually tried this?

Just looking at them, it doesn't look like it's going to work. Aside from likely being backwards for our engine, the bracket holes on the Evo compressor seem spaced farther apart, the compressor itself is shorter, and the pulleys are different.

That said, buy one and try it.

The physical size won't matter. The 95/96 are longer than 97/99 ones. They all fit.

Once I find a low mile one for under $75 shipped, I'll have all the info for everyone.
