Evo 3 OFH

Simple question that I can't find an answer to. The Evo 3 OFH has provisions for an oil cooler and bolts up to a 7 bolt. My question is does the Evo 3 OFH have a thermostat built in or will I need to add my own?

Its threaded in like the stock 7 bolt is.

The thermostat that is in the ofh is the same style as the stock 7 bolt

Yes, Evo III oil filter housing's have thermostats.

Thank you! Do you happen to know what the start and full open temps are for it?

I believe it opens at 85C, but I will have to dig around further to get a better confirmation on that number. If it helps your searching, the Evo 3 uses the same thermostat as the Evo 8/9, Montero, and 3000GT. There are also aftermarket oil thermostats available from HKS, Tomei, Jun, etc. that open at lower temperatures if you so desire.

I was going to use a PermaCool 160/180 if the Evo3 didn't have one, since it does that'll simplify my install, thank you very much. Now I just have to figure out if it's going to interfere with a 3" downpipe.

Are the oil cooler outputs 3/8 BSPT or something else?

Oh fancy. Do you know about 3" dp clearance, particularly with an HX40 on the stock manifold? That's my only other concern since it's not forward facing for some reason.

I know this is a bit old.
But does any one know which port to feed from the OFH? Also is there a way to put on the low oil sender?

I am soon going to install my EVO3 OFH and need to know before I put it on.
