I have an opportunity to buy an Evo 3 ECU. Does it work in a 2g? Is it plug&play?

Sorry, but i didn´t found any info about this.

No, definitely not plug and play it is the same as a 1G computer. Yes it could be done but to much work IMO. If the price is right you might be able to sell it here and make a couple of bucks. Not sure what the evo3 ECU market it like for the 1G guys.

It wont work on a 1g, not unless you get the pigtails together. The socket is pretty much same like the 2g / Evo 8 (hence different than the 1g) except that it only uses 3 of the 4 sockets. So technically you can make it work, same like how they make the evo 8 work on a 2g. The good thing about it is all early evos ECU are Eprom ECU. However, there is not much support on the tuning community on its map definition. Even link is only available in lite version. So to me, rather than you take the time to make the evo3 ECU work for you, might as well do it on the evo 8 ecu as it is more advanced and with lots more potential. if it is $50, i'll buy it from you. hahahahah.

waste of time, especially if you have the reflashable 2g ecu
