Ok i got a good deal on a Evo 3 16g and a godspeed FMIC. What i thought would be an easy install turned into a headache real quick. I need the lower manifold/turbo gasket. Also i need both of the dump tube gaskets. The bolts that go into the turbo from the dump have smaller heads and seem like they might leak. I dont know maybe its just me. Also the inlet line is too short to reach the oil filter housing. Can anybody help me out here. I just turned my daily driver into a catastrohphe. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :sosad:

If you must drive the car, you can slap some axle grease on the turbo to manifold and O2 housing to get a decent seal until you get the gaskets. The other one, just don't put one there. It might leak, but, if you've got to drive it, you've got to drive it. The truth is, you don't need any gaskets there at all if you just need it to get you to work and back. It will for sure leak, but all that will do is keep your turbo from spooling and make your car sound and run poorly. Anyone who hasn't owned a poorly running DSM just hasn't owned it for long enough.

The bolts don't seal, they merely apply the proper pressures to the seal. Smaller head won't affect it.

I thought the 16G oil lines were setup to go to the head like on the 1G's? The 2G head I have had a regular bolt there, I had to replace it with the banjo bolt from my 1G. I've never dealt with any other 2G parts, so that one could be an exception to the rule.

Id rather walk to work then let it leak. I would never drive a car that leaks anything.. especially oil. i wont run my lawnmower low on oil. thanks anyays

HAha moniel whats happenin man? Didn't have John there to save the bishi. LOL Get that stuff back together so we can cruize in the dream cruise LOL. I have a fmic ordered and a 16g with the 2g install. Moniel don't complain you got everything for 90 dollars. LOL

Did you order a 16g install kit? This may come in handy if not...

Example: Slowboy Racing :: DSM :: Do It Yourself Parts :: Misc. :: 2G Install Kit

yep yep.

16g install kit is an essential to installing and ugrading, especially with a FMIC, it will make life alot easier for install, plus all gaskets (except the dump gaskets).

Right, probably the case. OP just run the oil feed to the head like 1gs do, you'll need an alan key to take off the plug thats there in the first place and the correct banjo bolts to line everything up, or you could just buy the install kit if time is no object.

At first I laughed, then I wished mine was running poorly instead of not at all :(.
