I have an evo 16g on my 1g gsx. With the boost controller it will spool to the setting at low rpms but once I hit like 5500 the boost will start goin up very fast. Like boost creep but fast. I am not sure what is causing this. Is it possible the internal wastegate is bad? I was just gonna get an external. Already checked for leaks in the lines. Thanks

Sounds like a problem with the WG actuator. If you have money for an external (Tial 38mm's are around $230), its not hard at all to convert (would be interesting to see an external WG on a 16G setup).

Maybe your just experiencing creep from hell. Is your 16G ported?

Yea its a SBR evo 16g ported by them. The wastegate setup was not touched. The creep is real bad. Also have a ported manifold. What size external should I get? Thanks

Yeah, Check your actuator first but that doesnt sound like the problem.........you dont have to go external if you dont want to or cant afford it. You're wastegate flapper and o2 housing probably arent big enough to get rid of all that boost. You can get a larger flapper from TRE and install it and port your wastegate area and you should be fine......its still internal, and its cheaper.............I had your same problem when I went to my 14b setup.....
