i just bought a new evo 3 16g when i put it on i installed it with the stock 02 housing and set the boost to 10lbs just to test it out when i was driving i watched my boost gauge go from 10lbs and creep to around 21 do people commonly have probs with the wastgastes on these turbos, will it be fixed if i put the evo 3 o2 on because i purchased it also but i have to have my down pipe bent first to fit the flange any info will be helpful

Yeah i had the same problem on my talon a few years back. I ported everything like the thread shows and it helped me out alot as well. I did not get as good of results as him but better than before.

right now i am also with the full 3inch exhaust and was wondering where i could get a good hgh flow cat to bolt to my down pipe because i have to have it to pass the emissions text in north carolina anyway anyone know where i can find i good one for cheap

Did you mean to type 12 or does it creep to 21lbs. I have never heard of it building that much over a set amount. I would port your stock o2 housing though to help with flow through the wastegate. Other than that there aren't a lot of things you can do to it. When doing a car with an internal gate I tend to use a 2.5" downpipe to try to give it some backpressure to help with this but porting the o2 housing will help some.

Adam, have you read the link I posted? Adding back pressure is not an effective way to cure boost creep, the key is to not lose performance in the process.

Brandon, I hit you with a warning earlier but I suspect you have not read it yet. Please use proper punctuation and capitalization in your future posts so other mods won't warn you again for not complying. We are trying to make the tech sections as professional and easy to search as possible. Thank you. :thumb:
