evo 3 boost creep

allright, well i've seen lots of threads about the sbr evo turbos having boost creep problems, i was wondering, i'm also putting on a 3" rnr o2 elim. downpipe at the same time, anybody think i'm going to have any boost creep issues with this? i didn't get the 34mm flapper, cause i'm hoping to get up around 17psi on this....basically, should i port out the wg alot before i put it on? or leave it, i'm trying to get this all ready, so i can get it on in one shot. thanks for the help.

I don't know what the difference in turbos between FP and SBR is, but I have a Evo III from Forced, sent it to AMS for porting and a 34MM flapper, and I haven't experienced hardly any boost creep (once I did have about 1-2 psi)

well, just took my car for a short drive, ran it up to almost 5k, and held 9psi the hole time, and i didn't even touch it, i told sbr to port it even more, and when i got it, put it straight on. so its running great so far, couldn't take it any higher, still breaking in the clutch, thats a different story, if anybody wants to help, i'll post another thread about that, but it is fully engaged about an inch off the floor, hard as hell to drive. but anyways, so far so good. i'll up the boost once i get the clutch broke it, but it feels pretty good.

creep happens more when the weather is cold. I had one in th ewinter but not anymore

true, i forgot about that, but i guess i don't have to worry about that, cause i don't drive during the winter, not with the tires i got on it now, so oh yea, i will post up some pics of the turbo soon, my wife lost the usb cable to the camera, so i have to go to wal-mart and put them on a cd for now....

well, new news, i raced a new gto tonight, and well, i did pretty good against him, but thats also cause starting at 5.5k it creeped up to 15psi..... :thumbdown but at least i'm not getting 25+, but at 4k its only at 9psi, so i dunno what i'm going to do, my goal is 18-19, so i may turn it up a bit, but i really don't have the time to be pulling the turbo, so i guess i'll have to live with it kind of till i have time.

good to hear that you're not creeping like crazy. and on the race.. unfortunately the only thing i've gotten to race since the upgrade was a 3g 4cyl manual eclipse... ZzzZZz
