Hey thought I'd start up a thread so everyone could post up pics of the tires/psi setting they use at the track so people can get a idea of what works for us fwd NA and NA-t guys.
I'm 10-15psi with these bad boys.

I think he's primarily looking for information from other 420A owners... ;)

Yeah while I'm not gonna be a dick and tell people to not post their info paul's right kinda looking more too see what works for the 420a guys. But all fwd guys with a unique track setup chime in.

Well, i'm a factory turbo car, but seeing how I'm FWD and we share a common platform when it comes to the suspension i guess i'll list my setup.

I run MT 26x9.5x15 slicks on custom centerline wheels (65 mustang lug pattern with custom offset on 15'' wheels (this year switching to some M&H 24x9x15's)

With these slicks alone on a completely stock trans i was able to pull 1.9x 60' times on stock suspension. tire pressure was 15psi (too high) but it was a good balance between wheel spin and bogging.

This year with the TRE trans, quaiffe LSD and tokico blues with hyperco springs i hope to pull some 1.7xx 60' times and break into the high to mid 11's

I too think that the 15psi will be too high with my setup. What psi are you going out with next time to try and get lower 60ft times?

Next time out i'm going to do a shakedown pass at 15psi, then i'm dropping straight to 8 psi and if that doens't get me firmly in the 11's with a 1.7 pr better 60' time i'll drop em to 5 pounds.

This year i think the addition of the quaife LSD is going to show major gains in the short half of the track. The only local track we have is only an 1/8 mile, but i may go out and try and see where my 60' times are at and see if my axles are going to hold up to the abuse of the LSD after being beat hard for 100k+ miles already. TO me the 1/8 mile is jsut boring, it's like right when my car starts getting some momentum, it's time to hit the brakes :(

Yeah I really want to get my 60ft to around 1.7 because with our lower driver train loss I would be able to run with awd cars as well even with slightly faster 60ft times.

Maybe this is too specific a question for NA guys as 90% of NA eclipses maybe more just get driven not tracked. How bout just fwd guys in general. I wanted to get more from the NA guys as the trasmissions and everything are diffrent but still I guess all fwd guys what are you running track wise for tires wheels and psi?

I run mickey thompson slicks. Size is 26x10x15. I run between 7.5 and 8.5 psi. Consistent 1.7 60 foot times. Easy to bog if you mess up, but hooks great on a stock suspension.

Damn, i didn't think i could put anythign smaller than a 15 on my car or i would have gottent eh smalest rim i could for maximum wrinlke onteh launch

Why would you think you couldn't put 14's on these tires are the stock wheels off if I recall a Eclipse rs fwd. You might have bigger brakes than a non turbo fwd car but I think it would still work. I got the idea for this exact setup because I saw a guy selling this same size set with wheels and everything on the link forums about a year maybe less ago and was like I want them but at the time I was awd and he only had two.

Yeah they're the 14" stockers. The tires are MT 26x8.5x14

OK, NOW I'll post up. Now that you finally told us the size of your set-up :p

I'm running Weld 13lb'ers (15x6.5?) wrapped by M/T 24.5x8x15 slicks. I run in the neighborhood of 10 to 13 on the driver's side and 11 to 14 on the passenger's side.

Hoosier Drag radials here in a 225/50/16 size. Would have gone slicks but their not an option with my current drop & brakes. As for pressure, not sure, haven't run them yet. May 11 will be the first T&T that my car should hopefully be ready for, so with any luck I'll know then. The guy at hooser said you should only have to drop them to around 16-20psi & they should hook good but will have to wait & see. Was going to start at 20 & go down from there.

13x8 BOGART PRO 4 STARS

M&H 26 X 8 X 13 WITH 7 TO 10PSI i have to get to the track and find out what im really gonna run as far as psi goes

I was about to say wow I didn't thik 13's woudl fit but you have all that custom shit LOL. Yeah i'm very curious to see what psi you have to run.

im running a smaller brake rotor i believe a 10.5 diameter with a very small willwood dual piston caliper also a willwood master cylinder and Teflon stainless barded lines pretty sick stuff the rear brakes work independently off the emergency brake handle not the brake peddle.
