Ets J pipe with vrsf kit

Has anyone used a Ets j pipe with a Vrsf fmic intercooler.. The vrsf j pipe quality doesnt look very good and i would rather use ets.

This is a good question. If you find an answer from some other medium be sure to post it here please. The bolt nearest the radiator is a pita to get to. I absolutely hate taking my j-pipe off. I've had two big leaks there with my vrsf pipe, and even after putting a new Oem gasket on there I still have a leak. Was told by some local dsm boys to use black rtv there so yet again for the 3rd time ill be fighting that bolt.

I always hate taking off the J pipe or installing it. Both my RRE and PR J pipes were a pita so I ALWAYS used black rtv on there. If it were not for the fact I live in cali I would never even consider any turbos with a J pipe configuration.

I have never seen how the vrsf kit routes and their website is no help so I can not comment on that but they should be able to fit with some tweaking depending on how the intercoolers are mounted.

I'm using the punishment racing j pipe with my VRSF inter cooler and It works, an from what I've seen the ETS j pipe is the same bend just a little bigger I believe.

I pulled the turbo and j-pipe as a unit. Took the V-band off the turbo and removed the turbine housing. New OEM gasket and a light smear of RTV. Used a pair of needle nose vise grips to get that impossible bolt on the inside tight. What a PITA but it worked. So glad i sold that thing, i never liked the design.

I ended up shaving one of my junk allen wrenches down to fit in there. It wasnt perfect but I was able to get a few really nice tugs on it. It now sits in the glove box awaiting its next assignment. Since I was breaking in my engine hardly touching boost it wasnt an issue, and probably still wont be until next spring . That should give me enough time to get over how much I hate it.
