Quick question, got a very good deal for a set rims.

7.5 x 17 on ET40 or ET38. Will this get into interference with fender, or will pop out outside the vehicule? I mean, I don't want my rims to go farther than the fender.

Does anyone know the original ET of a 1G GSX?

An offset of 38 or 40 on a 7.5" wide rim will sit nearly flush with the body of a 1g, maybe even stick in a little. How much they rub will depend on tire size and lowering. With a 225-245 series tire with 35-45 aspect ratio, you should be good to drop 1" or so before running into rubbing issues. Obviously the thinner and shorter the tire, the less chance of rubbing and lower you can drop.

Here is a 1g with 17x7 +42. So with .25" more rim on the outside, minus an extra 4mm offset (.15"), your fitment would sit very very close to this DSM. He is lowered of course, but you get the idea.

They'll be pretty close to flush with the fenders, fronts may stick out a bit depending on camber and tire size. Given the two choices, I'd go with the +40 offset. Ideally, I'd go with a +42 to +45 in a 7.5" wheel. I've got 17x8 +48s on my car, they stick out in front and they barely clear the front struts with a 5mm spacer (effectively a +43). I've also got 245/45s, so with a smalller tire I'd probably clear without the spacers.

You mean plus an extra 4mm offset, a +38 will stick out farther than a +42.

I am going for 215/45 or 225/45, so will it be ok?

Your correct, a 17x7+38 would stick out farther than a 17x7+42. So take the picture I showed and add about .4" to the fitment width for a 17x7.5+38 rim.

For looks, I like the Pulse. It's clean and simple. The Scuderia seems flashy and big, which isn't shocking since it's named after a Ferrari. LOL.
