so my friend has an eprom burner and a program to read the reprograming code for a 28 pin eprom, but my question is what is the code for the blank eprom for the dsm application. is it an atmel 29c256? and can i use a 27sf512 if i use the second 256 bytes? and does anyone have any links to mem addresses for reprogramming the chip? thanks. Is there a way to get the same codes from a keydiver stage III or the same options that it has?

Yes, use the 29c256 chip, the -512 chip will work if you use the last 256k. Here's some links to get you started.
for eprom editing see users.wpi.edu/~ktarry/dsmtech/dsmromedit.html
stock code and easy changes to stock code can be found here; ilostmymind.com/ECU/DSM/Custom.html
www.DSM-ECU.com has links to the dsm-ecu mailing list archives and a link to the dsm-ecu list files section, which has plenty of great info.
