1G Enkei RPF1 Wheel fitment

Hi!
Any one here running enkei rpf1 on 1g awd? I am interested to find out experiences between different width wheel and offset combinations. Im thinking of purchaising either 17x7.5 48 offset enkeis or even 17x9 35 offset.
The problem is that i do think that mostlikely there will be huge difference in drivability between these 2 combinations but i just like way more of 9" wide wheel flattish dish on this enkei model.

If you have experiences of 9" wide rim 245/40/17 or wider tire please post your thoughs.

I wouldn't get anything under a 9". The perfect setup IMO, which is on my car, is the 17x9 45 in front and 35 in rear. If you get the 35 in front, it pokes out big time. 45 in rear and it's not wide enough.

There are obviously some current members running this wheel, but you should do some searches because there is some good info posted by several members in the past too that will be very useful and still relevant. I've always loved the RPF1.

Yeah enkei only lists 9x17 with 45 35 and 22 offsets so i think its just something that has to be dealt with.

Could you run the 17x9 45 all around and use 10mm spacers 0n the back? This would help with tire rotation and extend the life of track R compounds. I want to run 255s on the track. I currently have 17x8x35 running 245s.

I was running 255/40/17 R-compounds on 17x9's but I was running a 27mm offset and the wheels didn't tuck inside the fenders. I realize some already know this, I just wanted to mention it again for those who come across this thread and not the others.

Thanks Ludachris, I remembered that 27mm number! Couldn't find the thread but was that with Team Dynamics wheels? I assume the front brake kit and wheel used would change the ideal offset. RPF1s don't appear to be the most caliper friendly wheel out there. What do the 17x9 RPF1s weigh? I would like to know other recommended wheel options for 17x9 with 255s for the track. I am currently using stock 2 piston front calipers with the old AEM 12.5" 2 piece rotors and they worked fairly well but may upgrade. Considering outlander brackets with a 13" 2 pc rotor using the same hat.

The RPF1s are about the same weight, maybe even a little lighter than the TD wheels I had. And I remember finding that they would clear the Wilwood calipers I was using, but I never did actually test that research. I think they're actually pretty caliper-friendly. They'd be my other choice if I wasn't going to use the TDs.

I never did that research so I’m not sure.

You definitely can’t have the evo front calipers if you have a 17x9 +35. I tried. Maybe with spacers but then you’d want some fender flares to hide the bulge. I plan on doing the outlander upgrade since I don’t want to spend money attempting another 4-piston caliper again.

Is anyone using Galant knuckles on a 2G with the Evo brembos? Hoping my 17x8 +45 RPF1s will fit but I doubt it.
