Engine Starting/Stalling Help

I just picked up a 97 GST for my new project car. It's honestly a P.O.S. that needs a lot of work, hence how i paid 500 bucks for it. I just jumped the battery and it'll start up, however if i don't give it gas it'll stall out. Below is a video of what happens. At the end i take my foot of the accelerator and it stalls out. Yes the car's in neutral.

When my car would barely start up and then stall when i let off the throttle it was my Cam Position Sensor that had went out.

ok i looked all over for some help but to no avail so my problem is that my car doesnt like to start up the first few times i crank it and as the weather gets colder it gets worse and when it does start up for the first time it stalls like a min after i start it. but after the 4th or 5th time it will stay running and i can shut it off as many times as i want and itll start right back up but if i wait like 4 hrs i have to go through the same thing again i didnt mind in the summer but now its going to b winter b4 i kno it and i hate messing with sh!t when its -5 out so any help would be great thanks guys

can any one chime in and help me out please this sh!t is getting out of hand the battery i got last winter so its less then a year old and im on a tight budget so should i change the fuel filter and c if that helps or pump or alternator or is it just the doing it because my car has 170,456 miles

have you checked your spark plugs??

So I actually tried the 12v buzzer to check for codes because I had a cel and it came back 21 and that's collant temp sensor so I bleave its that car also smells of gas I'm gussing from running rich and my gas mileage is bad so I hope its that. And I just put new plugs and wires in like 4 to 5 months ago. Thanks for the help I'm going to change it out 2moro if auto zone or pepboys has it in stock I'll get back with results thanks again man

For me it was just holding the revs at about 2.5k for maybe 1-2 minutes, then it would idle steady. NEw plugs helped too.

it was the collant temp sensor god such a big weight lifted off my shoulders ppl hate there dsm's i love mine and wouldn't trade it for ne thing!!!!!!!!
