Engine not starting!!! HELP!!!

Hi, i was driving last night my eagle talon 93 tsi and i was hearing weird wind noise from my engine everytime i press gaz. After 5 minutes, my engine just stop running while i was on the road. I was hearing banging near the pulleys. The car stoped, i tried to start it again. Nothing is happen. No cranking. The starter not running. ABSOLUTLY NOTHING. I towed it to my house and this morning i checked the starter if its goodand it runs.

Does someone knows whats wrong with the car?
Why did it suddenly stop while it was running?

were you hearing a knock? and does your starter turn the motor over or not?

the starter is not turning the motor at all. The only thing i hear is the knock coming from the starter but not turning.

i hear a hum from my car, 93 laser, no starting, just a hum, lights go dim and thats about it, no cranking,,,,,,ideas?

Sounds like it may be locked up. Try to turn the engine with a wrench, if it won't turn there are most likely internal problems.

I tried to turn the motor today and i m not able to. You guys think its internal problem? What kind of problem i m dealing here ?

Did you have it in neutral when you tried to turn it? Did you use a decent sized breaker bar so it could turn easier? Are you able to get in any of your gears?

I m able to get any of the gears, i used a long breaker bar and i did have it on neutral when i turned it...

I think my problem is my valves. I think there are bent... How can i see that without taking off the head ?

The way I did was, if you can set that TDC and Pull cams, then pull plugs and put air into cylinders. If you hear a leak you know you need to pull the head. Hope this helps you out. Some people my do it diffent.
Note if you pull cams you have to reset timing belts ect.
