engine problems and tach not working

I have a 94' eclipse dohc that i engine swapped a 94 1.8 talon motor with ecu and wiring harness swap and the tach isnt working and im getting misfire. i replaced the spark plugs and wires and it is still running extremely rough. please help!

You put a 1.8 into the 2.0 or the other way around? Whichever setup you have, you may need a schematic. I'd scan it to see if the pcm recognizes tach signal.

Scan and get a schematic to trace out the tach signal wire. This is assuming of course that the tach worked in the first place.

Do this and give us more information.
