Engine jumped timing for the second time

So my friends engine jumped for the second time. I was planing on doing a leak down test to see what numbers I get. Now should I be concerned about any problem with the short block as a result of the engine jumping?????

not usually, unless the valve head smacked good enough to break it from the stem. when you pull the head...you may or may not notice an impression where the valve collided with the piston. most of the time you can get away with just sanding/polishing that area to remove any potential burrs/hotspots
