Just finnished an engine swap. Everything seamed to be running right so we took it for a spin around the block. When we started to head back the engine just cut off and now won't stay running for no more than 3 or 4 seconds before it cuts off. I called the dealership and asked if it had anything to do with the alarm system because I diddn't have an alarm remote, just a key. They said it would not start in the first place and it would have to be armed first. Can anyone help?

i had the same problem after my swap, i made a boost leak tester and found 2 large leaks, i sealed them up and that took care of my problem...

Well thanks alot guys for your friendly support. I guess I'm left with the notion that I need to get my ECU flashed considering its the same ECU that was in the car when the old motor over heated and fried the old motor.?

I had this problem when i put DSMlink in and replaced my front O2 with a WB. Forgot to simulate the narrowband and my car would start, run for couple seconds then cut out.

Also happened again when my CAS pooped the bed. Car would start, fire on 2 cylinders and shut off after a couple seconds. When i got it to start (a ton of contact cleaner) it would run with out issue until I shut it off again.

Any CEL?
