420A Engine coolant level switch wires broke

I have no idea what these do or lead too but is there a part number or something to replace this ?

it looks like the insulation has split but the copper wire seems to be in good shape. for something non-critical like that, i would try some liquid electrical tape

Can you explain to me what the wire does tho ? What it controls ?

It looks like it's for the coolant level sensor on the bottom of the overflow.

Do you think that wire could be connected to my dash because ever since it broke my heat/cold needle is not working

No. Follow the wires, if they go to bottom of the overflow tank, it IS for low coolant sensor. If your temp gauge on your dash isn’t working, it’s most likely your engine coolant temp sensor on the thermostat housing/or broken wire. Either are common. What year/engine is this?

It’s a 1995 eagle talon esi fwd 420a I recently changed the coolant temp sensor 2 day’s ago and all was fine till now

I've had a brand new sensor read all over the place. You'll want to test the sensor and probably start a new thread if you still can't figure it out.

I'm going to have to assume that this is something that only the 95 models had. I've torn down multiple 96-99 420a cars and none of them had this sensor.

Have you ever pulled an electrical contact out of a plastic plug? It's just clipped in and can be released if you carefully slip a small flathead in there just right. Then you can put some shrinkable tubing on the exposed wire since the copper still looks good. Then clip it back together.

Does this wire suck in spare coolant into the radiator?? Because it’s connected to the radiator and causing my coolant box to fill up
