I have been searching the site for the past two days with no luck, I have a 97 Talon N/T Auto with about 130k on the engine, 420a stock and 200+ on Chassis. I had my CEL scanned and got three codes P0134,P442 and P0301.The O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1, EVAP leak and cylinder 1 misfire. I had my wires and spark plugs changed to brand new wires and plugsthey were shot to hell, i replaced my old gas cap and removed and replaced the O2 sensor, when i located the O2 sensor i was able to find two, one located at the front underside centered and offset to the right where the electrical connector went up into the engine bay on the passenger side, the second was in the middle after the exaust pipe and before the muffler on the driver side centered, the entire wire leading up to the plastic plug was completly covered in black crusty oil, when i had my oil serviced it was not brought to my attention that there was a leak but i noticed that the undercarriage of my car was coated in oil although my oil drain plug had been replaced and was on tight. After i had the changes made my CEL light is still on after i had it scanned two days ago and i am still getting the same codes P0134,P0442 and 0301, one mechanic mentioned that its possible that my EVAP Purge Solenoid is Damaged bad but i have not been able to locate it i referenced my service manual which showed that the anti freeze coolant reservoir and EVAP Purge and vent solenoid are the same thing, which seemed wierd because i thought they were completely different components,my service manual also noted the EVAP Purge solenoid canister is located on the rear mounted near or on the gas tank, i wasn't able to locate that either when i jacked up the car today. I can't pass emissions with my CEL on and i want to make sure my car is up to par before i do any upgrades to the engine. What steps should i take to fix these problems?

First of all it is kind of hard to read when you make a long post like that and don't make paragraphs.

EVAP Leak: turn your car on and take a can of brake cleaner and spray it on your vacum hoses and emisson hoses if your egine changes speed or if it wants to die then you have a leak some where in the hoses. This is probably where your problem is since you already changed the gas cap.

O2: bank 1 sensor 1 is the sensor that is on your exhaust manifold. If you replaced that and it still has a problem I would say just check and make sure you have it tight and connected properly. (Even though you probably already have)

Misfire: Check: Spark plugs, wires, coil pack, vacuum leaks, and injectors.

Odds are your O2 and misfire are related because a bad upstream O2 sensor should make your car run like crap.

Good Luck
