hey everyone. im fairly new to the dsm platform, but not to cars at all. ive had my dsm for about 5 months, never joined this site because i tried dsmtalk and everyone was a douche honestly. I helped rebuild the motor in my gsx and then purchased it from a friend of mine. its a 1990, 6 bolt. new head, new motor, and i also got a FMIC and gm maf and MAFT for 2300:D.

after owning the car for a few months i was racing a mustang, and missed the 2-3 shift and jumped timing by 2 teeth...pistons smacked the valves, and now its torn apart again.
since its torn apart im gonna build it up. my parts list so far includes:

weisco 8.5:1 pistons
egal h-beam rods.
garrett t70 turbo
mbc
850cc injectors
walbro 255
apr rod studs
apr headstuds
crower valves
boost gauge
wideband o2
gm maf
maft
rfl bov
tail wastegate.

let me know what you guys think.

weisco 8.5:1 pistons -Yes
egal h-beam rods. -I like Manley personally but still good
garrett t70 turbo -how much power are you trying to make?
mbc -Yes
850cc injectors -What are you using to tune?
walbro 255 -Don't forget your AFPR
apr rod studs -They come with the rods
apr headstuds -I reccomend the L-19 if they are within your budget
crower valves -Manley, Ferrea, SI these are your best options
boost gauge -Autometer
wideband o2 -AEM or Innovate
gm maf -Ok
maft -Ok
rfl bov -Don't waste your money, buy a Tial
tail wastegate. -Yes

let me know what you guys think.

See above in red also sending you a PM

thanks.

3sx performance will be tuning the car, and they like using the maft, and my original power goal was 400awhp. but i figured why build a set-up that was limited to that.

x2 on the Manley valves.
x2 on the RFL BOV, I hated mine. If you really want one still, PM me, I took it off and swapped for a SSQ.

why did you hate the rfl?

worthiest Bov you could ever put in your car is RFL :notgood::notgood::notgood: These Bovs are known very leaky, they won't even hold the stock boost pressure which is 12 or 14psi.i see you want to get a Tial Wastegate.so i Highly recommend you getting Tial Bov. Because i see you will run a blow through setup,so Tial Bov would do the job really good.I know most of the people wants to get a loud Bov,but with your setup you could easy run 25 psi of boost. And on 25psi of boost Tial Bov would be twice louder then RFL one ;0 Just my opinion, but do what you want to do ;)

ah ok. i didnt know that. thanks for the advice. i didnt figure that bov would give so easily considering my stock 1g held 20psi. granted the spring was crushed.

i do have a question about the maf-t. when i wire it in, and hook up the GM maf, will i need to have the factory maf pluggd in as well or can i just leave it unhooked?

which version of maf translator are you getting?? Its a plug and play unit. All you got to do is disconnect the old maf harness and plug in the maf sensor.Make sure you get the harness, that goes from a gm maf sensor to the mass air flow harness ;) and throw your old air can as far as you can LOL LOL

its the 2.02, i already have it, i got it when i bought the car. it has a plug in for the gm maf, and the factory maf

If you're looking for 400awhp, a GT35R would handle that tast (likely on pump with a capable tuner) and would give you room above on race gas. Not to mention the improved spool up times.

I'd also recommend DSMlink and some bigger injectors since you not wanting to be limited.

well ive already ordered the turbo, and i guess ill go with 1000cc injectors instead of 850s.

im aiming to have the car running by christmas, ill post some pics up of the car later on
