hi everybody, had an fully engine rebuild just a year ago,it was working wery vell just was a bit rich on fuel when i had my dyno.a week ago just went for a ride, and in town heard a clicking noise when i was accelerating,so i decided to come back home,it was left about 300 yard to my home, and engine stopped working.:( i never thought taht things like that can happen after rebuild,i only done 2500mile after rebuild, was driving slow till 3k rpm for a 1500 miles, then i had changed my oil and started drive car with more power.my engine is tottaly damaged now,and nobody knows why,i tried to start enine but it wont started.putted 3 or 4 gear and tried to push car,but engine is like stuck in one place and not even mowing.i called that mechanic who done rebuild, and he dont know what happend to it.so i am taking today my eclipse gst spyder to that garage.:( does anybody can help me ...it was no boost leak, car was running fine, and now it wont even starting :( any opinnions??:(???? :ohdamn::ohdamn::ohdamn::banghead: i paid for fully rebuild engine more than 3000dollars:ohdamn:

i know how you feel man i bought a rebuilt engine from a place in cali got it all in and it only ran for 4 MILES!! someone forgot to clean out an oil journal. i had a warranty so i sent the old one back and got a new one from them it ran perfect went to drive up to school one day and spun 3 rod bearings! and it only had 2000 miles now its back out and in my basement i rebuilt it myself this time.

sorry to hear about your bad luck dude it sux alot but sorry i cant give you any info either. def let us know what it was after the mechanic looks at it because it could be anything its hard to tell with only what you posted.

thanks man,i felt that day horrible,it was nice sunny day, taked of the top,and the ..... mechanic gaved me a warranty for 40k miles,so i wont pay him money this time.in my place where i am living,is super rare car,it very hard to get parts in here, always ordering from USA...but it was strange thing after rebuild it was going way to rich ,it showed on my dyno print out,and it had only 199horse power, when it should have at least 260,because it has a lot of modifications :(

It takes 3 things for your engine to start and run:

Fuel
Spark
Compression

So start with the basics and look to see if you're getting these three things. If you're not getting one of these your engine will not start.

Read up on this link and see if it helps you understand anything, and if you need any more help feel free to post again and ask another question.
Car Won't Start

On another note, it was especially difficult to read your thread. If you could use correct grammar and punctuation I'm sure it would help with getting your problem fixed in a timely manner.

Hope this helps.. feel free to post another question if you have any more..

i do understand you,but its my third language man:) its nothing wrong with those three things, its something inside the engine,my mechanic told me like that.. it could be bearings, its like something stuck inside the engine and not letting to run. engine stopped while i was driving car

On the link I gave you if your engine has a "no crank, no start" issue it says one of the causes could be:

:: Engine seized due to bearing failure or internal damage (Use socket and long handle to see if engine can be turned by hand, if not engine is locked up).

:: Engine hydrolocked due to coolant leak from leaky head gasket (Use socket and wrench to see if engine rotates, remove spark plugs and see if coolant comes out or engine can not be cranked with plugs out).

Just trying to help diagnose, since I'm assuming that was the point of the thread.. ^^

I see you're in the UK, how's it like over there? I was in Germany for the past three years, kind of miss it.. (I was in Kaiserslautern) So I completely understand about how rare a DSM is over there.. Was a pain in the ass to even get an alternator! :)

That sucks bro, assuming you knew what was wrong with it then the reason of this post was to just vent? I say pull your engine apart and find the cause of the failure!

basically i am from east Europe,Lithuania, just living for the past 7 years in Uk,its not that nice like in my country, just have no other choice,i am living in here just because of money LOL

i just wanted to ask all members oppinion what can cause that problem, this is why i posted this tread, its very important to me ,i spent to much money on my baby and now all went wrong
