I just finished assembling the car today and it won't crank over..i replaced the clutch and transmission, and head gasket and removed some connectors and wires that i weren't using like from the cruise control, egr, and evap system...
On the ECU i cut wires:
40(egr solenoid)
41(cruise control switch)
51(rear O2 sensor signal-wideband O2 is in rear O2 location-)
77(to EVAP solenoid)
78+80(to cruise control speed control assembly)

Also removed stock oil pressure sensor for use of aftermarket gauge & sensor.Does the stock ECU need the stock oil pressure sensor to run? it doesnt have a pin on the ECU for it..?

And last i got a new saturn alternator with a 1 wire voltage regulator which allows the alternator to run on 1 power wire to the battery..So the 2 wires that originally connects to the stock alternator(blue wire & a red wire*) are disconnected.

Everything is getting power but i dont know why it isnt just cranking..i highly doubt it is the starter since it started perfectly fine before this build.

this post is also on dsm-addiction.com but i didn't get any luck over there..So any and all help is appreciated!

You do not need the stock ops to have the car run. I would start cchecking fuses. Also, does it cllick, can you hear the fuel pump whine when you turn the car to "on"?

No it doesnt crank over at all. and when you try and start it you DO hear a click and you can hear the fuel pump wine but still no cranking...?

i been going through all the wiring and EVERYTHING n still cant find the issue..no blown fuses either =(

ok so i just added power to the small wire on the starter and it cranked over..so my problem is a short somewhere along the line to the ignition...
Does anyone know if that small black wire to the starter runs straight to the ignition in the car or does it run to a harness or something in the engine bay to get power?

i just followed the wire from the starter all the way through the harness into the inside of the car And attached 12v to one end and a light to the other to make sure there was no short or cut wire along the way and ALL LOOKS GOOD there. theres a solid signal in the engine area of the harness...So the problem seems to be in the ignition harness...?
IS there any starter relay that is behind the radio because i hear a winning sound when i give the starter power? maybe the relay is bad?

i dont see how any wiring could be messed up inside the car, i havent touched one thing inside since before this build...

UPDATE!
Okay something is REALLY messed up..i took all the wire covering off the entire harness to check if there was a short along the line and then i check the ignition relay behind the radio and everything looks fine..THEN i decide to turn the key and IT TURNS OVER. its cranking like it should now..BUT NOW the fuel pump isnt priming.just a couple hours ago the fuel pump would prime each time you turn the key to ON and now it does nothing.WTF!
im getting random problems now when nothing was touched?

does anybody know where the factory fuel pump fuse is?
