:toobad: Alright i have bought this car abotu a month ago and have finally finished fixing all the wiring and rigging that has happened ot my 95 tsi awd auto. I got lal wires back where they need to be however. The car does not run quite right yet. I got the car running on all four cylinders now (hurrah) however no matter what i do i cannot get the car to idle well in park or neutral, and it is advancing timing like crazy.

The car has also been randomly misfiring back into the intake mani, but i beleive this is because while in neutral my logger is reading 35 degrees of timing.

What i have done in attempt to keep the car from doing what it is doing:
Rewire cas (third time, im sure it has to be correct.)
Check for intake leaks
check vaccum routings
replace throttle body.
block egr
checked power transister (that ground on the right side of the intake mani)
checked plug order
checked and made sure the cas was alligned at tdc

after all this the car will start and run mildly low 1000-1500 but it misfires into the intake manifold a few times, then races to 3000 rpms where it stops misfiring, but my data logger reads 28-30 degrees in timing... not good.

When i unplug my mas the car runs at 1000 but still misfires about 1 time every 10 seconds, i have also tried a new mas with no positive affect.

im looking for any help or ideas but im really unsure of whats going on. Any help at all would be welcomed.:toobad:

did you switch the plug wires and the fuel injectors wires?

on mine i didntbother switching the injector wires since im getting dsmlink in a couple days and will be able to flip it there but that might be part of your problem.

you've probably read this but just in case heres the magnus 6bolt swap page http://www.magnusmotorsports.com/tech/1gina2g.pdf

another thing is did you use the 2g tps? because the idle switch is built into it. i tapped mine to the closed throttle switch and it seems to work but i just got it running earlier today so i dont know for sure

the full magnus method where you change the shot order in the ecu pins. I left everything else where it should have been up top then i unverted the coil pack signal so it shoots in synch.

i just dont know where to go from here, has anyone else encountered similar issue's?
Also with an aem, since i did the swap and the car is running badly, how would i ammend it if i were to buy one?

Isnt it nearly impossible to check your base timing when the car wont run at 1000 rpms. like i have said before i cant even get the car to idle at anything less then 2000. I wish i could, also no matter how much i move the case around it wont idle lower then 2000.
