Well the for the motor, the bottom end has a stock crankshaft, stock rods, new top line pistons .020 over(had to clean up the ridge at the top of the cylinder) The top end has crower springs, crower titanium retainers, crane 264 intake and exhaust cams, new valves and new valve guides. The water pump, oil pump, pullys and timing pulleys are all new. Before i did the swap i researched on the internet that the timing tab and 2g motor mount had to have some fabrication to fit. I followed the instructions for that and it turned out well. The timing belt and balance shaft belts are from mitsubishi, i heard that your basic parts store belts are not recomended for these cars. I have the wiring harness that connects the 2g crank and cams sensors to the cam angle sensor or the 1g to keep from having to do any splicing of wires. All other bolt on parts of the car are stock by the way, like the exhaust manifold and i used the turbo off the 1g motor ### the 2g turbo had an excessive amount of shaft play in it. One thing i did that i probly shouldnt have done is used the 2g intake manifold, I only did this so everything connected up nicely. Well after everything was bolted up i attempted to start the engine. It cranked over and tried to start but would not stay running for nothing unless i kept my foot on the throttle. I hooked up an autometer oil pressure guage(to make sure i got oil pressure) and an autometer boost guage. While i was keepin the car running i noticed that the oil pressure was anywhere from 80-100psi. The shop where i was at hook up an oil guage in an oil port and it checked out ok. The boost guage had nothing, while i kept giving it gas the boost guage did not move at all it stayed at 0. I printed a vacuum routing diagram off of alldata so i could get the vacuum lines hooked up instead of just plugging them off. I still mite have hooked up the boost solenoid up wrong the routing on it was a little confusing. If any more information is needed just let me know i have everything wrote down in a note book on ### i done to the car. The only test that I have really done so far is compression test and it checked out ok. I visually inspected the vacuum lines and did not see any vacuum leaks but that doesnt mean there isnt any i guess. Any help would be great. :talon: :dsm: :laser:

You have a 96 eclipse, have you switch the spark plug wires? check out the writeup from magnusmotorsports.com

Yea i read the write up and i did that. I was told that the tab inside the cam angle sensor could be 180 degrees out, have yet to try that but as soon as i get some time it will be the first thing i try.

Check and see if your CAS is bad. Mine did the same thing when I dropped in my 6bolt, then I replaced the CAS and.... bingo ran great! The boost guage not working I think is a different issue.
