Picked up a 98 Spyder GST a couple of weeks ago. The guy had absolutely no idea what was on the car, and it had a blown HG. Turns out it has been tastefully upgraded with nice parts, and the car is being controlled with an AEM EMS Series II PnP unit.
Fast forward 2 weeks... I have the car back together and got it running. I noticed while troubleshooting a no fuel problem that it appeared that the start up idle target rpm was set at 2000rpm. I didn't change it because I knew the car would start with the settings that were in it.
Finally got everything sorted out, and lo and behold, it idles at exactly 2000rpm.
My question is, do I just go in and change the idle value, or are there other parameters that I need to monitor/adjust as well?
I've done a fair amount of tuning in the past, but I've never dealt with EMS. I am erring on the cautious side since I know it's a more 'involved' system. Thanks in advance.
