I am hooking up an alarm and I came accross this box by the previous alarm, its an upgrade what i am doing now, and I was wondering if anyone knew what this box thing does it has this drawing on it and four wires coming from the back a yellow and a red wire both going to a harness under the steering column with a black/red strip wire. The other wire is going to a black wire in the same harness. And the wire that is left went to the alarm somewhere. Also I can't find how to hook into the headlights, dome lights, or where the horn wire is any help would be great.

single pole relay commonly refured to as a "bosch" style relay.

Used for switching high current loads with a low current circuit, or just as a current "signalling" device. IE can be used to dam near anything.

As for your use of the relay it seems the previous owner used it to switch a factory circuit witht he alarm, now what is it? But one word of advise. If you do not know what this device is, pay someone to install your alarm. Since the alarm system for the most part is a processor and a few dozen of these, so be it in a plastic case labeled "DEI". Besides, the alarm is about protecting your car, a true MECP certified installer can hide, blend, what ever you want to call it, the system into the vehicle, the common, under the dash under the steering column will get you no where. A good theif will just yank that piece, which could disable the entire alarm, and have is way with your car. What Im trying to say, the most expensive alarm with every bell whistle or upgrade, when installed by the unknowing will protect less than a walmart special, when installed by someone who knows what they are doing.

Anyone have any idea what the wires are comming from they connect to a black/with red stripe wire below steering column? Also what wires are the horn, headlights, and dome lights? where can I find them at? Also I have manual locks and just installed a set of actuators and how do I incorporate them into my alarm, just connect the posotive and negative? Anyone know how to have it where you hit the button once only the drivers side opens, hit it twice both doors unlock? Thanks for any help you can give.

And im not sure what the wire the relay is hooked to is for. And also to hook up your door lock actuators you wil have to do what they call a five wire setup which requires to relays. Do the locks work right now or you just have them mounted? If advice on wiring the five wire setup just pm me.

What are bosche style relays used for in car alarm installs? What would i possible need one for in my 2g eclipse? Door locks, starter. What is the black/with red stripe wire under the steering column for?

I've been searching the net, is it possible that this is a starter kill switch? that would use a relay right and a black/red wire?

Am i going to need a door lock relay module? I want to add actuators and have two stage locks.
