Sherwood Park,
I just bough new Defi gauges to replace my autometer ultralites. My autometer EGT bung was welded onto my old 1G manifold and worked great. However I no longer have acess to a welder to weld on my new Defi bung. Defi says you can drill a hole and tap a 1/8NPT hole in it. Then simply screw in the 1/8 male fitting supplied and call it a day. Im wondering if anyone has just threaded the EGT bung in and had sucess. Im not sure how well it will seal.

just remember that when you tap NPT threads you dont run the tap in the whole way. Since NPT is tapered you only want to run a few threads otherwise the hole will be too large and it wont seal and will back out
