My prior pyrometer was no longer working, so I swapped out the entire autometer ultra lite gauge with an autometer cobalt. This would not be a difficult issue, but for one small detail. The new Cobalt pyrometer has the EGT probe already installed into a wiring harness that connects directly into the back of the gauge. The old gauge was yer standard screw into the back of the gauge, with the end of the wire being O connectors, so that you can swap out the EGT probe. The old gauge was in the car when I bought it, and the previous owner JB Welded the shit out of the EGT probe fitting. It looks like a volcano, and the new probe has a different piece to screw into the manifold. Does anyone have any advice??
