2G EGR valve?

Well what I wanted to know is on the egr valve can i hook the line from the inlet to the outlet, (route it back into its self)?

I took out my vac canister and blocked my vac lines on my intake. I just wanted to know if i could do the same thing to the EGR valve? I know that my stock boost gauge and vac gauges will not work now but I"m putting aftermarket ones in.

It's got the vacuum line before and after layouts. But yes, you can block off the lines by just running the line back into itself if you want.

Yes, you could do that, but also bear in mind the EGR is only open during part throttle usage under a certain RPM point, I forget the specifics, and has no detrimental effect on WOT performance. However, taking it off might cause you to fail a sniffer test, depending on where you live. If you really want to get rid of it just buy an EGR block-off plate and take the valve off.

Yah I plan to get a egr block off plait (waiting for it in the mail). I just didn't know if i could do this temprarely. I live in MI right now and we have no emissions here. I'm moving to IL soon and I don't know if they have emissions there.? Another thing I noticed, there was another vac line that came up from under the Vac can (under the battery tray) I looks as though its right bye the brake lines should I cap the vac line too?
