Does my car is throwing a code for a bad egr. Does anyone know of a dealer that carries egr valves. I surfed the net a little and could find any. Maybe a dealership?

I second the EGR plate.

If you want to replace the EGR though, you can buy them online through Advance Auto Parts, AutoZone, and maybe a few others.

Advance Auto: $96.99 and up
AutoZone: $95.99

Check the classifieds... Ill sell you mine. Although it could be the EGR solenoid that has gone bad. If so, you will need to find someone parting their car out for that piece.

Instead of spending $95, block it off with a part that's like $5 or free if you want to make it.

I've heard of that throwing the ecl which i can deal with but will it mess up the engine performance?????

blocking that off helps performance because what the egr does is recirculate exhaust gas into your intake to reduce the combustion temp, which lowers certain emmisions. so by blocking it off and only have fresh air coming in its a performance upgrade slightly.

On his N/T this is a good solution idea, but it still doesn't help his CEL. Also, on the turbo models, be aware that the EGR is also a knock deterrent. Some will argue either way.

This is very true and with the high compression ratios from the forced induction, it is a good practice to keep EGR in operation.
