EGR Block off plate Question

Hello all. I have a quick question. I just ordered my EGR blockoff plate for my GS-T Eclipse. I am doing the Taboo vacuum delete on it and have the diagram and am using the how too on the forms to remove the valve to put the plate on. My question is, do I need to plug the connector back to the EGR valve after I put on the plate or can I just remove the egr valve completely. My goal is to do everything to where my CEL light doesn't come on. Thanks for any help.

The connector is on the solenoid not the egr valve. The solenoid is not attached directly to the egr valve its on the firewall. If you delete the vacuum lines and leave the solenoid no CEL will show.

And if you're installing a block-off plate, then just remove the EGR valve completely.

Thanks. I had just saw the pictures on the how too and it looked like there was one right on the EGR that I remove. Maybe I will take some pictures and do a how to on it along with the vacuum line. Does anyone know what size caps I should put on the vacuum ports to cap them off?

Sorry, i was looking at the EGR valve wrong. It was a connector to something else. My mistake. Anywho, I got caps for my throttle body vacuum ports. I went to Advance and got some 1/8" (3,17 mm) Rubber Vacuum Caps. I think its part number 47389. It comes with 5. I will have a complete writeup on this when I'm done for both EGR and Deleting vacuum ports with some better pictures for reference.
