Will a 95-96 ecu direct swap in my 97 talon tsi?

It will plug in but you will need to swap the spark plug wires around to get it to start. It may not run correctly because of the inverted CAS signal unless you have ecmlink to fix it.

Im not running dsmlink just yet..so pretty much the 96 ecu is worthless to me because of the CAS signal?

You would be better off with another 97 ecu or a black box ecu

Black box would be cheapest option or you could get and evo ecu and wire that up. The black box is plug in drive.
