is it worth 250 imma call today to see what kind of piggy back it is

Oh and if i can get just the dsm link for 70.00 should I...... or do i need cd and chip to do anything

why would you even consider a piggyback system when you can snag ECMlink for 1/3 of the what you will pay for the other system?

yea ECMlink require a e-prom ecu that is socketed, or for you to convert a non-eprom to an e-prom. You also need a laptop to run the supporting software.

*****just realized that dsmchips is out of business, thanks Jeff for all the work you have done fore us here.

so i would need red chip(cause i have a eprom do i replace my stock one with the red one)
anywhere i could buy chip and cd seperate

Yes, you need the red chip to replace the stock one. You said you're getting your EPROM ECU socketed, so when that's done, the stock chip will be in the socket. You just remove the stock one and put the ECMlink chip in.

I've just linked you to what you need to purchase. Or you can get it directly from ECMTuning.

Ecu+ is a great program and definitely worth 250. I paid over 400 for mine. Its affordable and you can do so much more with it than your average piggy back. I myself have a 98/99 flashable ecu that i got from Jeff and i also have the ECU+ program. Like Jeff told me it was kind of redundant to have both but since im a newb when it comes to tuning, its much easier to learn with the ECU+. Evo guys are big on using both together from what ive seen. But even if you dont have flashable ecu, ECU+ is the way to go if your on a budget! :thumb:
