I have been looking around a lot on this subject but can not find a straight answer.

I have a 1999 Spyder GST Auto
3" turbo back with an airbox delete
not looking for a whole bunch of power just a little more... umph when I bring the turbo up to about 14 PSI.
before I do anything else I will be getting a Boost gauge and a Wideband if I can find a used one for an ok price. might just settle for a narrowband for the time being (better than nothing)

what are your opinions and +/- on this?

apreciate the help guys. and again I'm not going for huge power. just a little more out of it.

Honestly the narrowband gauges are useless for tuning or monitoring air fuel ratios, all they are is a voltmeter that shows your o2 sensor still works. I always advise against AFCs simply because there's so much better technology out there now, and they really aren't the safest route either.

Since you have a 99, check your ECU to see if it's a black plastic case. If so, that means it's flashable and you can use the EVOScan/ECUFlash combo that has gotten very popular.

There's a lot of great info on here, do some searching and browsing through the ECU/tuning articles and you'll find several options that work much better than the AFC. :thumb:
