For good or ill, I got a remanned ECU from Advance Auto for about $300(?) and it works great. They had to order it in of course but it only took a few days.

you might wanna try motoguys garage. its an ecu shop located in illinois and they ecus for dsm's. i came across them on ebay as i was looking for a replacement and i believe it costs in the neighborhood of $200.

I wouldn't recommend Motoguys. I recently bought an ECU from them and it took me quite a while to even get in touch with them after placing my order. I finally did talk to them after I filed for a refund through paypal and they told me they were waiting for new cores to arrive (and they couldn't say this sooner?). After receiving the ECU it did get my car running again, but now I'm struggling to get in touch about the core deposit. I shipped my core off about three weeks ago. They haven't responded to any of my emails and every time I call it says their answering machine is full. I would say save yourself the hassle and and just get one from autozone or advance auto.
